Making the most of his time in the Big Apple, Channing Tatum was spotted out and about in Manhattan.

The “She’s the Man” stud was joined by his new wife Jenna Dewan as he posed for photos and signed autographs outside their New York City hotel, looking happy to be so beloved by his fans.

The Early Word - G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

At first there was doubt that this Hasbro toy line could make the jump to the big screen as successfully as the Transformers did. Paramount Pictures, the studio releasing the movie, has been fighting mixed reactions to the trailers from fans of the original cartoon, along with false rumors of creative disputes and bad reactions from test screenings.

Now Paramount is causing a stir by not screening the movie for critics before it goes into theaters

From arthouse chic to popcorn villain

SIENNA MILLER turned down the role of the Baroness in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra when it was first offered to her, saying it was not her kind of film.

But the 27-year-old star of mainly small-budget productions such as Factory Girl and Alfie says reading the script convinced her this action blockbuster would be a good career move.

‘‘Initially when I was offered the project I said, ‘Absolutely no way,’’’ she says at end of a long day promoting the film in Sydney.

Stars from upcoming ‘G.I. Joe’ movie storm Seoul

A press conference to promote “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” was held yesterday morning at The Shilla hotel, central Seoul. Channing Tatum and Sienna Miller were at the event, as well as Korean actor Lee Byung-hun. producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura and director Stephen Sommers. The group arrived in Korea the day before via Gimpo International Airport.

We flew to Japan to attend the Tokyo premiere of the explosive big-screen adaptation of “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” at LaLaport Toyosu’s luxurious United cineplex.

Stephen Sommers and his CGI hammer are about your wallop your face with the human action cartoon G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA, but what do we REALLY know about Joe, yo?

Fortunately the makers of the movie have put together a little history of the G.I. JOE character/product, from the doll with the kung fu grippage right through the violent animated series where everyone shot at each other with color-coded laser but nobody ever died.
